Bane of Debasement

This artwork is part of the Bitcoin Kali Series 1, a limited set of seven (7) original digital works created by the curator and registered as Verus identities under the `bitcoins@` namespace. The current holder of this NFT’s Verus identity — that is, the party in control of the identity’s primary authority at any given time — is hereby granted all transferable property rights in the underlying image that the curator is lawfully able to convey, including the rights to display, reproduce, distribute, and create derivative works from the image, and to transfer these rights onward by transferring control of the identity itself. The curator retains no separate ownership interest in the image once the identity is transferred, and makes no claim against the holder’s exercise of these rights. Rights pass automatically and instantaneously with each transfer of identity control; no separate instrument is required. This statement, the image bytes it references, and the curator’s signature over both are permanently recorded on the Verus blockchain and may be independently verified by anyone at any time. This is a demonstration of on-chain rights assertion as a *capability* of the Verus protocol. It is offered in good faith as a binding statement of the curator’s intent and is not legal advice. Holders and prospective holders are encouraged to consult their own counsel regarding the enforceability of on-chain rights assertions in their jurisdiction.
